Seasonal Positions

We are seeking positive, hardworking and reliable individuals to join our Retail, Visitor Services and Catering Teams.

Positions available from Saturday April 26th to Sunday October 5th inclusive. Part time and full time available, flexible working patterns and start/end dates. We welcome candidates who can commit to the season, and those who would work around other commitments such as school and further education.

*Kiosk
This role is solely customer facing and is essential in the delivery of Cawdor Castles high standards. Being the first point of contact with our visitors, a cheery and and friendly disposition is essential along with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Cawdor welcomes individuals and large groups on a daily basis which can lead to a busy entrance gate. You must be organised and able to communicate with the our visitors and the Castle staff whilst performing your role.
This can be a very fast-paced position (particularly in the summer months) and is integral to the running of the Visitor Attraction. Full training and support will be given and will be provided on a daily basis, but this role does require periods of lone working.
This role could suit someone looking for either a part-time position (2-3 days a week) or a full-time position (4-5 days a week). Please note half day working will not be considered for this role.

*Catering
Catering Assistant
To assist in the efficient and profitable operation of the Courtyard Café in a positive and friendly manner to the standard expected at a 5 star visitor attraction. Working as part of a small, friendly team, you need to be a team player and passionate about excellent customer service. Our Café provides a vital service to our visitors on a daily basis in a relaxed and informal setting. Varied daily jobs, from serving food and drink, operating the till, maintaining the tidy and clean standards of the cafe, therefore you’ll need to be adaptable. Previous experience not essential but the desire to work and learn is.

*Kitchen Assistant
Our two chefs will need support to deliver our menu in this busy kitchen. Flexible hours considered including early morning. Large requirement for prep so not necessary to be experience on service, but able to work alongside our Cook/Chef and the wider team. Additional hours in Peak Season (July-Sept). From £13.00 per hour.

*Retail
With three shops on site, the Castle offers varied shopping experiences to our visitors. Individuals in retail should be confident in learning the products, the importance of restocking and customer engagement whilst ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the Castle’s retail outlets: The Gift Shop; The Highland Shop; and The Wool Shop.
We are mainly seeking individuals to joins our current Gift Shop team. The Gift Shop is included on the Castle Tour. This can mean the Gift Shop can become busy and requires accuracy and efficiency. We already have some very experienced returning staff within this team, but are looking for some new flexible and friendly faces to join us.

Retail-Assistant-Job-Description

We offer an enjoyable working environment with a high number of returning seasonal staff in all aspects of the business. Lunch is provided daily, and we issue department uniforms. We have various department training days prior to opening and offer ongoing support throughout the season. We encourage those with even 1 or 2 days availability or preferred specific hours to apply.
