Eating - Cawdor Castle - A five star visitor attraction near Nairn in the Scottish Highlands.

Open daily from 10am until 5pm, the Courtyard Café is situated in the South Courtyard of the Castle with views on to the Flower Garden. The cafe displays contemporary art in a welcoming setting in what was once the Factor’s house.
Cakes, homemade scones and soup are served daily along side a light menu for those requiring something a little more.

Hot food is served until 4pm daily, with hot & cold drinks and cakes available all day.

In addition to the organic produce grown in the vegetable gardens at the Castle and Auchindoune House and wild game and Beef sourced from the Cawdor Estate. We are proud to work with a range of local suppliers to use the very best ingredients from across Scotland. Try our very own traditionally pressed Apple Juice, made from a variety of over 60 apples including heritage varieties grown organically both at Cawdor Castle and Auchindoune House.

The Cafe has seating for 70 covers plus outside tables in the South Courtyard should the weather allow. The Cafe is fully accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooter, our baby change facility and accessible toilet are all located in the Cafe area, please see our access statement for more information.

Our Catering Team work very hard to offer an enjoyable experience onsite, combining both value and quality for all our visitors.

Local Produce

Alongside our own home baking we stock selection of cakes from the resident Kiwi in the Cairngorms – KJs Bothy Bakery, formerly the Mountain Café in Aviemore.

We have also been working with Pure Highland, a plant-based bakery based in Nairn who provide us with the most delicious, modern vegan baking.
