Be Mindful is the Cawdor family motto and we ask that our visitors are mindful to our staff and other visitors when onsite.
A facemask is not required when exploring the exterior of the castle and around the grounds. We have acres of outdoor space; however, we do ask that you are respectful of other visitors and maintain social distancing when exploring our grounds and gardens.
We understand that some of our visitors may be medically exempt from wearing a facemask and we kindly ask that if you have a government medically exempt card or sunflower lanyard that you have this visible for our staff to see.
For our visitor’s confidence here are some of the additional procedures we have put in place to reduce the risk of transmission around site:
On top of our high standards of cleanliness, we are also disinfecting our high contact touch points with an antiviral spray hourly.
We have altered the layout of our café and retail units, and we have introduced touch free sanitise stations and acrylic screens where appropriate.
Finally, we have a one-way system throughout our castle and if you have received a castle audio guide please return it to the collection as soon as possible so we can sanitise these ready for our next visitors.
Acceptance of risk. The safety measures that are being and have been introduced are intended to minimise the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus, but this risk cannot be completely eradicated. Therefore, anyone visiting Cawdor Castle acknowledges that they do so at their own risk.
