The roles within Visitor Services are active, and will require flexibility. Based in the ticket kiosk or within the Castle, we are looking for individuals confident in interacting with the public. Welcoming guests, delivering guided tours, checking tickets, cash handling, alongside occasional light housekeeping are a few of the daily tasks. In addition, use of an EPOS till and ticket management system is an essential part of the Visitor Services roles.
Assisting in the efficient and profitable operation of the Castle’s retail outlets: the Gift Shop; the Highland Shop; and the Wool Shop. Presenting a welcoming and positive attitude to visitors. Cleaning and restocking shelves, processing and pricing stock. Use of EPOS system.
The Courtyard Cafe can seat approximately 65 people, with tables in the outside Courtyard for use on dry days. Varied daily jobs, from serving food and drink, operating the till, maintaining the tidy and clean standards of the cafe, you’ll need to be adaptable. Furthermore we have an additional outlet, the Coffee House situated at the Castle entrance offering snacks, soft and hot drinks.
A team player with kitchen experience is required. Confident in the delivery of light lunches, snacks and soups from our menu. Daily baking and preparation alongside the ability to meet the demands of busy kitchen service. This is a full time position, five days from seven from 8am to 4pm daily.
