The Reluctant Dragon

August 17, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Quantum Theatre’s adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s, The Reluctant Dragon, is a touching, sweet and funny tale of bravery, friendship and derring-do for all the family. The Reluctant Dragon Cawdor Castle

When a boy finds a dragon up on the Downs he’s not in the least surprised. He’s always known the cave there was a dragon cave, so it seems only right for a dragon to be living in it. But this particular dragon is not a bit like the ones in fairy tales – this one writes poetry and doesn’t like fighting!

However, it’s common knowledge that when there’s a dragon you call for St George and, with a dragon in the neighbourhood, the town’s folk are expecting a fight. Can the boy come up with a clever plan to save his friend and convince the townsfolk to accept him….?

Production start time of 6.30pm. Tickets cost £15.00 per adult, £8.00 per concession and £5.00 for children. The café will be open for hot and cold drinks and food. As this is an outdoor production please come prepared, maybe bring a picnic blanket, cushions or low back chairs. We would also love to see as many Knights and their dragons as possible so come as dressed up as you like.

Tickets can be bought by calling the Box Office on 01667 404 401. Pre-booking is advised as spaces are limited and tickets sell out very quickly.

Cawdor Castle looks forward to spending the evening with you for this enchanting evening of family entertainment, “You’ve got to fight him some time or other you know, ’cos he’s St George and you’re the dragon…”.
