Much Ado About Nothing
August 5, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm£15.00
Bard in the Botanics Theatre’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s joyous comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, places romantic misfits Benedick and Beatrice at the heart of a world populated by freaks and oddities – A Victorian Travelling Circus.
If it can go wrong it will, anything can happen when this theatrical cast of characters gets together for a party…. Benedick is never getting married. Not ever. ‘All Women shall pardon me, I will live a bachelor’. Beatrice can’t ever imagine a man she could fall in love with. ‘I’d rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me’.
Much Ado About Nothing fizzes with sparkling wit and romance and passion. Even though the path of true love most definitely does not run smooth and as the lovers face obstacles, both accidental and on purpose, it’s impossible not to be swept along by the original and best romcom.
Tickets cost £15.00 per adult and £10.00 per concession. There is the opportunity to book in for a pre-theatre meal and the café will be open for hot and cold food and drinks. As this is an outdoor production please come prepared, maybe bring a picnic blanket, cushions or low back chairs and double check the weather forecast on the day.
Tickets can be by calling the Box Office on 01667 404 401. Pre-booking is advised as spaces are limited and tickets sell out very quickly.
Cawdor Castle looks forward to spending the evening with you for this bewitching evening of entertainment, “There is a kind of merry war betwixt Signior Benedick and her: they never meet but there’s a skirmish of wit between them.”
