By Air – Inverness Dalcross Airport
has flights from London Gatwick, Luton (Easyjet), Edinburgh and Glasgow and is 5 miles
from Cawdor Castle, taxis are readily available.
By Train – There is a main railway station in Inverness (15 miles), and a small station in Nairn (5 miles).
By Bus – There are regular buses to Cawdor from Inverness and Nairn, the information telephone number for Highland Scottish Omnibuses is 01463 233371.
By Taxi – There are numerous taxi companies in both Inverness and Nairn.

The distances below are all approximate.
From A9 Northbound -
On the decent towards Inverness, turn off the A9 on to the B9006.
This brings you past Culloden battlefield, and on to a junction
at Clephanton, approx. 9 miles. Turn left on to B9090, which brings
you to Cawdor Village (1 mile) and follow the signs to the castle.
From A9 Southbound -
At the roundabout at the end of Kessock Bridge, take the turning
for A9 south bound. After ¼ mile take the turn off for the A96,
to Aberdeen. Continue over the next roundabout and follow the
A96 for 10 miles turning right on to the B9090. This will bring
you to Cawdor Village 3 miles, and follow the signs to the castle.
From Inverness Airport (Dalcross) -
On exiting airport turn immediately left, the road is narrow in places.
At the main road turn left on to the A96, after 2 miles turn right on
to the B9090, which will bring you to Cawdor Village 3 miles, and follow
the signs to the castle.
From Nairn A96 -
From Academy Street, at the West End of Nairn, turn left on to
Waverley Road, then right on to Cawdor Road. After 2 miles you
turn right on to the B9090, to Cawdor Village (3 miles), then follow
the signs to the castle.
From Westbound A96 (e.g. Forres, Aberdeen) -
Turn off the A96 at Auldearn, at the end of the village turn left
onto the B9101 for 2 miles, cross the A939 Granton-on-Spey junction
on to the B9090, for 3 miles to Cawdor and follow the signs to the Castle.
From Grantown-on-Spey A939 -
At Grantown-on-Spey take the A939 North bound for Nairn. After 25 miles,
(just before Nairn) turn left on to the B9090, 3 miles to Cawdor,
following the signs to the Castle.
